During today’s session, the Kyiv City Council will approve the allocation of over 5 billion UAH for the support of defense forces and security.

This was announced by the city mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko.

Out of this amount, 4.9 billion UAH will be directed towards the "Defender of Kyiv" program. Additionally, over 93 million UAH will be allocated for the social protection of veterans. Another 10 million UAH is planned as a subsidy from the city to the state budget for defense activities.

The Kyiv City Council will also increase the one-time financial assistance for mobilized residents from 30,000 UAH to 50,000 UAH.

Moreover, the council will make a decision to increase monthly financial support provided to medical workers in the city.

Specifically, it concerns raising the amount of assistance for junior medical staff in healthcare facilities providing medical and/or rehabilitative care. Currently, they receive 2,000 UAH monthly, which will be increased to 3,000 UAH.

Reminder:

The Kyiv City Council has approved the city budget for 2025 at over 90 billion UAH. "The budget is balanced. It is crucial that the most important sectors and projects are financially supported so that we can assist the military and ensure the capital's vital functions," stated Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
