The National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" in collaboration with the NGO "eMuseum" has introduced an audio guide designed for individuals with hearing impairments. This information was shared on the official page of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
The new inclusive service was developed in cooperation with the NGO "eMuseum" and is available on the emuseum.online platform.
The sign language translation was carried out by translator and accessibility culture researcher Ulyana Shumilo, allowing people with hearing impairments to fully explore the main attractions of the Lavra, including the Dormition Cathedral, the Trinity Gate Church, the Great Lavra Bell Tower, the Church of the Savior at Berestove, and other sacred sites.
The Ministry of Culture emphasized that the launch of the audio guide opens cultural heritage to a wider audience and promotes the creation of a truly accessible cultural environment. This initiative is part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
