On the night of November 14, the capital faced another enemy attack, resulting in an air alert lasting over 5 hours. More than 19,500 people, including 1,200 children, took shelter in the metro, as reported by the Kyiv Metro Company.
All 46 stations of the Kyiv metro operate as shelters 24/7, with all entrances open for access.
To make your stay at the stations during the night more comfortable, it is advised to bring:
- warm clothing, blankets, and sleeping mats, as the temperature in the shelter is around 17–18°C, and drafts may occur;
- personal medications and a bottle of water;
- hygiene products, including wet and dry wipes;
- for pet owners — pads and bags.
The Kyiv Metro urges everyone to be courteous and considerate of others' comfort.
