In Kyiv, the restoration of the building located at Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street, 51-A is about to commence. This information is provided by the Department of Territorial Control of the city of Kyiv.
The structure is a landmark of local historical significance and houses part of the Department’s offices, as well as the State Scientific Institution "Encyclopedic Publishing House". Between 1906 and 1908, this building was home to an underground printing house, and from 1906 to 1913, it hosted Higher Women's Courses where the Ukrainian writer Zinaida Tulub studied.
The working project for restoration has been approved, with 5.5 million UAH allocated in the city budget for 2025 to kick off the work.
The project implementation is planned for 2026-2028, with a total cost of 119.8 million UAH. The tender procedure began on October 24, 2025.
