This weekend marks a significant milestone for public transport in Kyiv with the introduction of a double-decker bus. The MAN A39, donated by Berlin, will operate on route No. 57 in a trial phase.
The bus will run exclusively on weekends to assess its suitability for regular services.
This double-decker bus boasts 83 seats: 28 on the lower deck and 55 on the upper deck, along with 45 standing spots located on the lower level.
Designed with accessibility in mind, it features a low floor, two spaces for wheelchair users, a stroller area, and two ramps.
The bus will operate on Saturdays and Sundays between the "Akademmistechko" metro station and the "Chapaevka" stop from 9:43 AM to 6:53 PM.
Additionally, another MAN double-decker will serve as a sightseeing tour bus.
