On October 14, a tree planting event took place in Darnytsia, Kyiv, featuring the introduction of arborvitae – evergreen trees that enhance the park's design on Petro Hryhorenko Avenue, 36-38. The event was reported by the press service of the “Kyivzelenbud” organization.
Participants included the head of the Darnytsia District State Administration, Oleksandr Kovtunov, acting General Director of the «Kyivzelenbud» Olya Manko, and the director of the KP UZN of Darnytsia, Lyudmyla Filinska.
Oleksandr Kovtunov emphasized the significance of ongoing greening and landscaping efforts in the area. Under his direction, the KP UZN has been actively conducting campaigns aimed at improving the condition of green spaces.
«Our primary goal is to create green zones that are comfortable for everyone: children, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities. It’s crucial that everyone can enjoy nature and feel at ease here,» stated Olya Manko.
As part of the project, 85 trees, nearly 2,000 shrubs, over 700 decorative grasses, and approximately 1,200 perennial flowers have been planted.
Lyudmyla Filinska highlighted that the first section of the park was completed last year, and this year the work on the second part has been finalized. The area is now not only green but also equipped with convenient landscaping features.
Today, this park is not just a green space among dense development, but a cozy spot that has already won the hearts of local residents.
