The restoration of the Muse of Theatre sculpture on the Obolon embankment in Kyiv has been completed. This was reported by the KP «Plesso». The official unveiling was dedicated to Artist's Day.
This initiative, led by KP «Plesso» and the public organization «Heritage of Chemerzhy in Arts and Education», was carried out by renowned sculptor Sergey Borodin. Thanks to his expertise, the sculpture has been fully restored to its original appearance based on archival materials.
The main goal of the restoration was to preserve the authentic elements, replacing only the lost or damaged fragments. All works were conducted using technologies that ensure quality and durability. Additionally, a special protective coating was applied to the sculpture to enhance its resistance to weather conditions and maintain its beauty for years to come.
«This successful restoration is an important step in preserving the cultural heritage of the city and restoring the aesthetic appeal of public spaces. We invite everyone to enjoy the renewed beauty of the Muse of Theatre», — noted in Plesso.
It is worth mentioning that at the end of last year, KP «Plesso» took over the management of the beautification elements of the Obolon embankment, including the sculptures of the «Alley of Muses», and began their restoration.
