Since the beginning of the year, the municipal corporation «Kyivavtodor» has established tactile navigation and lowered curbs at 327 pedestrian crossings. These efforts are taking place across all districts of the city. The information was provided by «Kyivavtodor» press office.
Additionally, they are creating barrier-free access to socially significant objects. This type of work involves implementing tactile navigation and accessible walking routes from public transport stops to vital community facilities.
Currently, work has been completed at 23 such locations, with plans to establish 28 more barrier-free approaches by the end of the year.
As noted by «Kyivavtodor», all necessary design solutions for creating barrier-free spaces are being implemented within the framework of capital repairs and reconstruction of the street and road network.
All efforts to enhance physical accessibility on the city roads are carried out with the involvement of relevant public organizations that focus on inclusion and accessibility issues.
