A fierce wind, heavy rain, hail, and thunderstorms swept through the capital on July 22.
Over 30 trees were reported down in Kyiv as a result of the storm that meteorologists had predicted.
More than 40 employees of the "Kyivzelenbud" municipal enterprise and 15 rescuers from the city rescue service are working to eliminate the storm's consequences.
In addition, over 10 units of equipment from "Kyivzelenbud" and 3 emergency rescue vehicles have been deployed.
On July 22 at 19:46, the rescue service received a report about a tree falling on a car on Mykola Kravchenko Street.
Rescuers used a chainsaw to free the "Volkswagen" car from the tree and cleared the passage to the five-story building.
Unfortunately, people were injured during the storm. Currently, 5 individuals have been hospitalized, including a 13-year-old girl.
Due to the adverse weather conditions, a tower crane fell at one of the construction sites of PJSC "Kyivmiskbud" on Hlybovytska Street, 43.
No injuries have been reported.
The authorities urge residents not to ignore warnings about deteriorating weather conditions, as failing to follow recommendations may lead to injuries.
