Since the beginning of 2025, five training sessions on first aid provision have been held at the Kyiv City Council. The initiative was launched by the Personnel Department of the Kyiv Council.
A total of 65 employees from the Kyiv City Council secretariat participated in the sessions. Participants had the chance to learn essential first aid skills for emergency situations, including controlling critical bleeding, proper use of tourniquets, wound packing, and ensuring airway patency.
The sessions were conducted by a certified instructor, a paramedic from the National Guard of Ukraine, and the author of the Ukrainian course 'Stop the Bleed' — Oleksandr Korniychuk (call sign 'Biker').
Particular emphasis was placed on practical skill development. Each participant not only learned about modern first aid techniques but also practiced them in simulated crisis scenarios. All attendees received internationally recognized certificates upon completion of the training.
