A new paper cut by master Tatiana Kuzmych (Kashuba), measuring 10 meters, has been created in the style of traditional Ukrainian embroidery using authentic ornaments.
Today, May 27, the Museum of the History of Kyiv officially registered a record for the largest paper cut created using the «Paper Embroidery» technique. Its author is the renowned Ukrainian artist Tatiana Kuzmych (Kashuba).
This work is presented at the exhibition «Red is Love» currently taking place at the museum, as reported by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Kyiv City Council member (UDAR faction) Valentyn Mondryiisky.
The 10-meter-long red paper cut is made in the style of traditional Ukrainian embroidery, featuring authentic ornaments.
«This record-breaking paper cut is a symbol of our resilience. It demonstrates how creativity rooted in tradition can inspire, unite, and empower during challenging times. Today, it’s more important than ever to remind the world of the depth and elegance of Ukrainian culture,» stated Valentyn Mondryiisky.
The project aims not only to promote Ukrainian folk art but also to emphasize its role as an integral part of our identity. In the context of war, such cultural initiatives become a powerful instrument of support, national unity, and resistance.
