The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has submitted new bills to the Parliament aimed at extending the martial law and general mobilization for an additional 90 days. If approved by Parliament, these measures will remain in effect until August 6, 2025.

The relevant bills, numbered 13172 and 13173, have been registered on the Parliament's website.

As of Tuesday morning, April 15, both documents have been forwarded to the National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Committee for review. In the texts of the bills, the head of state proposes to approve the respective presidential decrees regarding the extension of martial law and mobilization for 90 days.

According to the draft law on the continuation of general mobilization (likely №13173), this law is set to take effect on May 9, 2025, after being announced through the media.

The draft law concerning the extension of martial law (likely №13172) is expected to come into force “from the day of its publication” following its approval by Parliament and signing by the President.
