The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has expressed his desire for US President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine before making decisions regarding peace negotiations.

Zelensky mentioned that he would be pleased to welcome Trump so he could "understand the reality of the situation here".

Zelensky's direct quote: "We respect your position.

However, before making any decisions or plans about negotiations, please come and see the people, civilians, soldiers, hospitals, churches, children who have been affected or lost their lives".

"Come, see, and then we can discuss how to end the war. You will understand who you are dealing with. You will see what Putin has done".

As a reminder: Zelensky emphasized the lack of sufficient pressure on Russia from the international community, which is why it "does not fear" attacking Ukrainian cities.

Trump stated on Saturday that negotiations regarding the end of the war in Ukraine are going well in his opinion, but "there comes a moment when you must either act or be silent".
