On Saturday, thousands of citizens gathered at the National Mall in Washington, as well as in other cities across the USA and abroad, protesting against Donald Trump’s actions.

These demonstrations became the largest since Trump returned to the White House, reports AFP.

Mass protests against Trump’s policies in the USA

During the rally in Washington, participants held signs that read “Not my president!”, “Fascism has arrived”, “Hands off our social security”, “Wake up and smell the coup”.

As AFP notes, Americans are expressing their dissatisfaction with Trump’s aggressive actions, such as government cuts, imposing conservative values, and pressuring allied countries on trade conditions, which has led to a drop in stock markets.

Demonstrations against Trump also took place in European cities.

Hundreds of people took to the streets in various European cities, protesting against US President Donald Trump and his advisor Elon Musk, as reported by Ukrinform.

In Frankfurt, Germany, the demonstration “Hands Off!” was organized by “Democrats Abroad”, the official organization of the Democratic Party for US citizens living abroad. Gathering at Opernplatz, people demanded the president's resignation with slogans like “Restore Democracy”, “Hands off our personal data”, and “The world is tired of your nonsense, Donald, go away!”.

In Berlin, demonstrators protested outside a Tesla showroom, urging fellow Americans in Germany to join in the protests to “put an end to the chaos” in the USA.

In Paris, the capital of France, about 200 people, mostly Americans, gathered at the Place de la République to express their protest against Trump.

Some delivered speeches condemning the president. Protesters waved signs reading “Resistance to Tyranny”, “Rule of Law”, “Feminists for Freedom, Not Fascism”, and “Save Democracy”.

Protests against Trump and Musk also took place in other European cities, including London and Lisbon.
