The war has claimed the life of the prominent Ukrainian climber, Taras Tsushko, a member of the Odessa climbing club.

This sad news was reported by the Federation of Climbing and Bouldering of Ukraine.

Tsushko was one of the leading climbers in our country, a member of the national team, and a multiple champion of Ukraine and the CIS in various climbing categories.

Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend his homeland.

"Taras was a kind, empathetic, and reliable friend to all climbers in Odessa. He dreamed of reviving high-altitude climbing in Odessa after the war. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the fallen," the statement reads.

The farewell to Taras Tsushko will take place on April 6. The service is scheduled for 11:00 AM at the church near the Kryzhanivskyi cemetery.
