In 2025, Ukraine will invest 739 billion UAH in the production and procurement of military equipment, supporting long-term contracts for the defense industry.
This was announced by the leader of the "Servant of the People" party, MP Olena Shuliak.
She stated that the focus for the state in 2025 will be on producing domestically-made long-range weapons, as last year’s investments have already yielded positive results on the battlefield. Olena Shuliak reminded that Ukraine successfully tested and launched into serial production domestic cruise missiles and also conducted the development and testing of ballistic missiles. Furthermore, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously announced plans to produce 30,000 long-range drones capable of covering over a thousand kilometers to strike important military and economic targets in the aggressor country.
"Today, our long-range missiles and drones can hit strategic Russian military targets deep behind the lines. They are disabling oil refineries that fuel Russian military equipment, as well as disrupting logistics chains and destroying concentrations of personnel and equipment. Therefore, increasing the production of long-range weapons will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike even more intensively against the enemy territory," - noted Olena Shuliak.
The MP added that this year long-term contracts for the production of weapons and ammunition are also planned, as this has been one of the key requests from defense enterprises.
The leader of the "Servant of the People" party also reminded that the party systematically and consistently supports the Ukrainian army and invests in the domestic defense industry. During the full-scale war, "Servant of the People" has already directed 400 million UAH to the Armed Forces, as well as another 49 million UAH from saved party funds to the state budget. This funding has been used to procure domestic anti-tank missile systems "Stugna-P" for the National Guard and 2,000 electronic warfare systems of Ukrainian production.
Additionally, according to Olena Shuliak, members of the "Servant of the People" party in the regions are showing a very active stance in supporting the Armed Forces, consistently backing additional funding for defense and often initiating such decisions in their local councils. Specifically, nearly 20 billion UAH has been allocated for the needs of the Armed Forces from the budgets of regions, districts, and communities across the country at the initiative of the party’s deputies.
