The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully intercepted 15 ballistic missiles of the "Iskander-M"/S-300 type, one guided missile X-59/69, and 197 drones launched by Russian forces against Ukraine in the evening of February 11. This information was revealed by the Air Forces in a Telegram post.
Starting from 6 PM on February 11, Russian troops launched an attack on Ukraine using 24 ballistic missiles of the "Iskander-M"/S-300 from the Bryansk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea, along with a guided aviation missile X-59/69 from the airspace of the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region, and 219 strike UAVs of various types, including Shahed, "Gerbera", and "Italmas", launched from directions such as Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (RF), and Hvardiyiske (Crimea). Approximately 150 of the drones were of the Shahed type.
The main targets of the attacks included Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa.
The air strikes were countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
As of 9 AM on Thursday, February 12, preliminary data indicated that air defense had shot down 213 aerial targets:
- 15 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/S-300;
- one guided aviation missile X-59/69;
- 197 drones.
Confirmed hits included 9 missiles and 19 strike UAVs at 13 locations, as well as debris from downed targets at 14 locations.
The attack continues, with several hostile drones still in the air.
During the night of February 12, Russian forces conducted a combined massive attack on Lozova in the Kharkiv region, reportedly using ballistic missiles and strike drones "Geran-2". A man and a woman were killed, and six others were injured.
