As of the morning of February 11, power outages have been reported in three regions of Ukraine due to Russian attacks. This was announced by NEC "Ukrenergo" on social media.
"Due to military actions and targeted enemy strikes on energy infrastructure, new power outages have occurred in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions. Emergency recovery operations are being carried out with safety considerations. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore damaged equipment as quickly as possible," the message states.
It is noted that due to the consequences of previous massive attacks, emergency power outages are being implemented in some regions. In the rest of the country, power limitation schedules for industry and hourly outages for residential consumers are in effect.
As of 9:30 AM Wednesday, electricity consumption was 2.1% lower than the previous day, resulting from the forced increase in power outages in certain areas.
"The need for energy conservation remains throughout the day. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, shift energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours — after 11:00 PM," Ukrenergo advises.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the most difficult energy situation remains in Kyiv — in the capital, over 1400 buildings are still without heating, and the government is initiating an increase in the volumes of the heating package program.
