The air defense forces of Ukraine managed to neutralize 64 out of 80 enemy drones launched by Russian forces on the evening of December 11. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this via Telegram.
According to the report, starting from 6 PM on Thursday, December 11, the invaders attacked Ukraine with 80 strike drones of the Shahed type and other UAVs from various directions, including Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Primorsk-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (RF), Chauda, and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), with around 50 of them being Shahed drones.
The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9 AM on Friday, December 12, the air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 64 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
There were recorded hits of 12 strike drones at eight locations, as well as debris from downed drones at three locations.
The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace.
Russia launched a massive attack on the Odesa region with strike drones, damaging energy infrastructure and warehouses. Some settlements were left without electricity.
