Ukrainian air defense forces successfully neutralized 50 out of 80 drones used by aggressors in their attack on Ukraine on the night of December 9. This information has been reported by the Air Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel.
According to the report, starting from 6 PM on Tuesday, December 9, the invaders launched 80 strike UAVs, including Shahed, "Gerbera" and other types from various directions: Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (RF), and Chao (temporarily occupied Crimea), with around 50 of them being Shahed drones.
The air assault was resisted by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary data indicates that as of 9 AM on December 10, air defense had shot down 50 drones in southern and eastern Ukraine.
Hits were recorded from 29 strike UAVs across seven locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
During the night of December 10, a Russian drone struck a civilian object in the Koryukivka district of Chernihiv region, causing a fire.
