The Ukrainian Armed Forces have showcased the effectiveness of their air defense systems by destroying 39 out of 62 Russian drones. This is reported by the Air Forces on their Telegram channel.
According to the report, starting from 6 PM on Monday, December 1, the aggressors launched an attack on Ukraine using 62 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, ‘Gerbera’, and other drones from various directions: Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Chаuda (temporarily occupied Crimea), and also from the Donetsk region. More than 35 of these are Shahed-type drones.
The airspace defense was executed by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 8:30 AM on Tuesday, December 2, preliminary data indicates that air defense has shot down/suppressed 39 drones of other types in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
There were recorded hits on 20 strike UAVs at 8 locations.
The attack continues, with several enemy drones still present in the airspace.
