Following another Russian strike in Dnipropetrovsk, eight coal mines were left without electricity. At the time of the attack, there were 2,595 miners underground. Rescue teams and mine personnel quickly initiated the evacuation of all workers. According to initial reports, there were no casualties. This information was released by the Ministry of Energy.
The latest Russian assault has led to an immediate power outage at eight mines. When the electricity was cut, 2,595 miners were working underground.
Rescue teams, in cooperation with mine staff, promptly began the process of bringing people to the surface. Currently, preliminary information indicates that there are no fatalities or injuries.
“Russia continues its energy terror. This latest strike has endangered the lives of thousands of miners. They are waging war against civilians. The Russian tactic is clear — to leave Ukrainians without light and heat during winter,” stated Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Svitlana Hrynchuk.
Emergency crews are continuing their work to restore electricity and stabilize the situation at the sites.
