On the night of October 30, Ukraine's air defense systems successfully intercepted 623 out of 705 drones and missiles launched by Russia. Direct hits were recorded from 16 missiles and 63 strike UAVs across 20 locations. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
“During the night of October 30, the enemy conducted a combined attack on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using strike UAVs and missiles from air, ground, and naval platforms. A total of 705 aerial threats were detected and tracked by the radio engineering troops of the Air Force – 52 missiles (9 of them ballistic) and 653 UAVs of various types,” the message states.
Specifically, the enemy employed:
- 653 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, “Gerbera” (other types of drones) from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsk-Akhtarsk – RF, and Chauda – TOT AR Crimea;
- 4 airborne ballistic missiles X-47M2 “Kinzhal” (from Nizhny Novgorod region – RF);
- 5 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23 (from Rostov region – RF);
- 8 cruise missiles “Caliber”;
- 2 cruise missiles Iskander-K (from Kursk, Voronezh region – RF);
- 30 cruise missiles X-101 (from Saratov region - RF);
- 2 guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 (from the Black Sea area);
- guided air-to-surface missile X-31P (from the Black Sea area).
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
As of 11:30, the air defense has shot down or suppressed 623 aerial targets:
- 592 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, “Gerbera” (other types of drones);
- 7 cruise missiles “Caliber”;
- 1 cruise missile Iskander-K;
- 21 cruise missiles X-101;
- 2 guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69.
Currently, direct hits from 16 missiles and 63 strike UAVs have been noted at 20 locations, with debris from downed targets scattered across 19 locations in various regions of Ukraine. Additionally, three enemy missiles are currently considered lost, and information regarding their impact sites is being clarified.
