The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully neutralized 23 out of 32 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Forces via their Telegram channel.
On Sunday evening, September 28, Russian forces launched 32 strike UAVs, including types like Shahed and "Gerbera", from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Approximately 20 of these were Shahed drones.
The air assault was countered by aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As per initial reports, by 09:00 on Monday, September 29, the air defense had downed 23 UAVs of the Shahed, "Gerbera", and other types in the northern and eastern regions of Ukraine.
It was noted that 9 strikes by UAVs were recorded at 8 different locations. The attack is ongoing – new groups of strike UAVs have been detected in the north and east, as warned by the Air Forces.
