The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has officially confirmed that the Ryazan oil refinery in Russia and several other strategic targets have been hit.
This information was published on the General Staff's Facebook page.
On the night of September 5, units of the drone forces and special operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other defense components, struck the Ryazan refinery.
Preliminary data indicates a hit on the primary oil processing unit ELOU-AVT-6, which has an annual capacity of 6 million tons.
"The Ryazan refinery, with a design capacity of 17.1 million tons per year, is among the largest refineries in Russia. It produces various types of gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, liquefied gases, and other oil processing products. The facility supports the Russian occupying army," the General Staff commented.
Additionally, special forces targeted the positions of two S-400 “Triumph” air defense divisions in the Kaluga region. Preliminary reports suggest hits on a command and staff vehicle and a control point.
Moreover, the Security Service of Ukraine successfully attacked a warehouse of engineering munitions and drones belonging to Russian forces in temporarily occupied Luhansk, resulting in secondary detonation and a subsequent fire.
