On the night of August 30 (from 19:00 on August 29), the enemy launched a massive strike against Ukraine using attack drones, as well as missiles from air, land, and sea.
This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Overall, during the strike, radio-technical troops of the Air Forces detected and tracked 582 aerial targets:
- 537 attack drones of the Shahed type and various imitation drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – rf.;
- 8 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23 from the Rostov region, Krasnodar Krai – rf.;
- 37 cruise/aerial missiles of various types: X-101, Caliber, Iskander-K, X-59 (launch areas from the Saratov region – rf., waters of the Black Sea, and the TOT of Zaporizhzhia region).
The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down/suppressed 548 aerial targets:
- 510 enemy drones of the Shahed type and various imitation drones;
- 6 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23;
- 32 cruise/aerial missiles X-101, Caliber, Iskander-K, X-59.
There were recorded hits from 5 missiles and 24 attack drones at 7 locations, with debris falling at 21 locations.
