In the night of August 24, Ukrainian defense forces successfully shot down 48 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles in the skies above the country, with missile strikes recorded in ten locations.

This information was shared by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Military sources reported that from 10 PM on Saturday, August 23, Russian forces launched one ballistic missile of the “Iskander-M” type and 72 drones, including the Shahed strike drones and various imitator drones.

The missile was launched from the area of the Russian city of Taganrog, while the drones were launched from Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Ukrainian defense forces repelled the enemy attack with the help of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.

As of 08:30 on Sunday, August 24, air defense had shot down 48 Russian Shahed-type drones and imitator drones in the north, east, and south of the country.

Missile strikes and 24 enemy drones were recorded in ten locations.
