On the night of August 9 to 10, the Russian Federation launched a massive attack on Ukraine, deploying 100 drones, of which the Ukrainian air defense shot down 70.

This information was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to reports, Russian forces fired Shahed-type drones and various other UAVs from Russian territory (Shatalovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk) and from temporarily occupied Crimea (Hvardiyiske).

To counter the aerial assault, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and drone units of the defense forces were involved.

As of 08:00, the destruction or suppression of 70 Russian drones in the northern and eastern parts of the country has been confirmed.

Additionally, 30 UAVs hit 12 settlements in the frontline areas of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. Debris from the downed drones also fell in three other locations.
