The death toll from the attack on Kyiv during the night of July 31 has risen to 28, including 3 children. Additionally, 159 individuals sustained injuries, 16 of whom are children.

This information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service Oleksandr Khorunzhyi during a news marathon, and Kyiv Military Administration Chief Timur Tkachенко via Telegram.

“Throughout the night and into the morning, rescuers retrieved 10 bodies from the ruins of a residential building in the Sviatoshyn district, including a 2-year-old child,” Khorunzhyi stated.

At 8 AM, Khorunzhyi further reported that another deceased individual was found under the rubble.

“The death toll has now reached 27. Just moments ago, we received word that rescuers pulled another person from the debris in the Sviatoshyn district,” Khorunzhyi explained.

At 8:34 AM, Kyiv Military Administration Chief Timur Tkachенко announced that the number of casualties has risen to 28.

Khorunzhyi anticipates that the number of casualties from this Russian strike may continue to rise.

The search and rescue operation is ongoing. Currently, rescuers have cleared 70% of the collapsed structures of the building.
