On the night of July 30, Ukrainian air forces faced an attack from Russian troops, utilizing 78 strike drones of the Shahed type and various decoy UAVs. As a result, 51 enemy drones were neutralized, although hits were recorded.
This was reported by the Air Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Air Forces: "As of 09:00, our air defense has shot down or suppressed 51 enemy UAVs in the north and east. Hits from 27 drones were recorded at 7 locations, with debris falling at 2 locations".
The invaders launched drones from 22:30 (July 29) from various directions, including Orel, Kursk, and Hvardiyiske - from the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Air Forces noted that a distinctive feature of this night attack was the use of up to 8 reactive drones in the northern direction. The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of defense forces.
