On the night of July 26, an incident occurred at the "Armavir" airfield in the Krasnodar region of Russia, resulting in the destruction of a training-combat fighter jet Su-27UB belonging to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Local residents noted that after the explosion and fire at the airfield, communication was lost in nearby settlements.

The "Armavir" airfield is primarily used for training cadets of the Krasnodar Higher Aviation School.
