In Ukraine's Donetsk region, a mandatory evacuation of children has commenced from 10 locations, including the city of Dobropillya and nine surrounding villages, where approximately 928 children currently reside.
This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, on Facebook.
“We are starting the evacuation of families with children from Dobropillya, as well as the villages of Hanyivka, Novyi Donbas, Rubizhne, and others. Approximately 928 children are currently in these areas,” he stated.
Filashkin explained that this decision was made during a regional commission meeting on technogenic-ecological safety on July 24.
He instructed local authorities and law enforcement to swiftly organize a proper evacuation for the families with children and to ensure suitable living conditions in safer areas of Ukraine.
“I reiterate: staying in the Donetsk region poses a constant danger. Evacuate while you still can! Protect your loved ones!” emphasized the regional leader.
