In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, the number of casualties from the mass night attack has increased to 24.
This information was provided by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, on his Telegram channel.
“Currently, 24 people have been injured. One man sought medical assistance,” Tkachenko noted.
As a result of the attack that occurred on the night of July 10, residential buildings, municipal facilities, and transport infrastructure were damaged. Municipal services are actively working on restoring the streets in the Pechersk, Podil, Solomyansk, and Shevchenko districts, as reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The works involve units from the municipal corporation “Kyivavtodor,” including 25 workers from road maintenance managements, the “Magistral” SHEU, and the municipal enterprise “Kyivavtoshlyakhmist.”
Additionally, 17 units of equipment are engaged, including trucks, tractors, excavators, loaders, vacuum cleaners, and water-spraying machines.
Municipal enterprises in the Pechersk, Podil, Solomyansk, and Shevchenko districts are cleaning and dismantling damaged infrastructure elements.
Moreover, operational units of the municipal emergency rescue service (KARS) “Kyiv Rescue Service” have been surveying hit locations and dismantling emergency building structures of the damaged houses since the morning. Currently, they are working in the Shevchenko and Solomyansk districts - a total of 17 rescuers and four units of KARS equipment are involved.
Over 200 employees from managing companies - janitors, roofers, engineers, and repairmen - are also involved, along with about 20 units of equipment, including aerial lifts, dump trucks, etc.
The Kyiv City Administration noted that managing companies are working in a mutual assistance mode, focusing their efforts on the locations that suffered the most damage and where urgent help is currently needed. Notably, the most destruction is currently in the Shevchenko district.
Experts from the municipal enterprise “Traffic Organization Center” have recorded damage to traffic light objects on Academician Zabolotny Street and at the intersection of Vaclav Havel Boulevard and Machine Building Street. The traffic lights are temporarily out of service, and repair teams are on-site.
Additionally, the contact network of electric transport has been damaged at five locations. Five units of special equipment and eight electricians from the municipal enterprise “Kyivpastrans” worked on eliminating the damage. Currently, all issues have been resolved, and inspections of stop complexes are ongoing.
According to the Kyiv City Administration, stained glass was damaged at one of the exits from the “Pochayna” metro station. Metro workers quickly addressed the situation, and this did not affect the station's operations - the schedule and work regime remained unchanged.
