The cleanup efforts following the night attack by Russian forces are ongoing in the capital of Ukraine.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook and shared relevant photographs.
In the early hours of July 4, the enemy launched another massive attack on the capital. Rescue workers are addressing the consequences in multiple districts.
In the Solomianskyi district, a five-story building was partially destroyed, and a fire broke out on the roof of a seven-story residential building due to the attack.
Additionally, fires occurred in a warehouse building, on the territory of a car service station, and in a garage cooperative. Significant damage has been inflicted on civilian infrastructure.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 14-story residential building following a strike, as well as in the courtyard of a neighboring high-rise. Cars were damaged in the flames. Efforts to extinguish several fires in non-residential buildings are ongoing.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an eight-story residential building that was not yet inhabited was struck by a UAV, resulting in damage on the ground floor.
Debris from UAVs has been recorded falling in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts.
Approximately 100 units of equipment and over 450 personnel are involved in addressing the aftermath of the shelling in Kyiv, according to the State Emergency Service.
As of 08:44, the number of casualties from the attack has risen to 23, reported Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
“At this time, according to medical sources, there are 23 reported injuries from the enemy attack on the capital. 14 of the injured have been hospitalized. Others received outpatient care or assistance on-site,” - the mayor stated.
