The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, visited the site of a tragedy where Russian forces struck a residential building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv to honor the memory of the victims.

He laid flowers at the destroyed entrance of the building that was hit during the attack on the night of June 17, resulting in the deaths of 23 residents.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported to the President that search operations at the site have concluded. More than 400 rescuers and over 200 pieces of equipment were involved in the aftermath response. According to him, 500 residents have applied for documentation of their housing loss.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, informed that over 1000 people have sought assistance from the local headquarters, where they are receiving all necessary support.

Vice Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, Oleksii Kuleba, reported that a technical inspection of the building is currently underway. If capital reconstruction is not feasible, affected residents will receive compensation for their destroyed homes.

That night, Russia launched a combined massive attack on Ukraine, deploying 440 drones and 32 missiles. In Kyiv, buildings in eight districts were damaged due to the assault.

This attack claimed the lives of 28 people in the capital, with 142 residents injured, including six children.
