As a result of a massive Russian attack on the night of June 6, the Hryhorii Skovoroda Library in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv was severely damaged, reported Ihor Stepurin, executive director of the Ukrainian Publishers Association.

He stated that "the best district library in Kyiv has suffered considerable damage from today's shelling of the capital of Ukraine".

The blast wave damaged the facade of the building, shattering windows and doors. The library confirmed that no staff were injured, and the books remained intact.

"Efforts to mitigate the consequences are ongoing. Rescue workers, local authorities, utility services, volunteers, and many concerned citizens are working together harmoniously! A support headquarters for the affected individuals has been set up in the library", the library staff reported.

Additionally, during the night attack, the facade of the Museum of Ukraine in World War II, located near the “Motherland” monument, was also damaged.
