The Minister of Internal Affairs, Igor Klymenko, reported losses among rescuers due to enemy strikes.
Last night, enemy rockets and drones targeted civilian objects and critical infrastructure. Emergency services, including the State Emergency Service and the police, responded to calls for help. Sadly, we have once again suffered losses within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In Kyiv three rescuers lost their lives while responding to the aftermath of enemy strikes. They worked under fire to assist people. Nine more rescuers were injured, with some in serious condition, as doctors fight for their lives.
Additionally, five rescuers were injured while extinguishing a fire in Ternopil region. All are receiving necessary medical care.
Our eternal gratitude to the fallen heroes who gave their lives without weapons to save others. Their bravery and dedication to their mission deserve our deepest respect.
Wishing a swift recovery to all the injured.
