Today, June 4th, Ukrainians remember the children who fell victim to the military actions initiated by Russian aggression.

According to juvenile prosecutors, as a result of the full-scale invasion, 631 children have died, and 1975 children have been injured to varying degrees.

In our city, Russian attacks have taken the lives of 13 young Kyiv residents. Two of them lost their lives this year due to enemy strikes, reported the KMVA.

“This is not just statistics. These are names, smiles, dreams that will never come true. These are empty rooms, broken hearts, and parental grief that does not fade with time. Every child is a whole universe. Their lives were cut short in places where laughter and lullabies should have resonated. They did not wield weapons or choose war. They were killed by those who brought evil to our land,” emphasized the KMVA. “We will not forget a single child. Our nation fights for a life that must be bright and safe for our children.”

For over 11 years, the aggressor country, Russia, has been trying to rob our country of its future, systematically killing entire families and wounding children, reminded the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kyiv.

With the onset of the full-scale invasion, the geography of this horror has spread across all of Ukraine, and today the capital mourns its fallen children.

“Every citizen remembers these crimes against innocent victims on the streets of Kyiv,” noted the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Kyiv. “Ordinary residential buildings where the deceased boys and girls lived and dreamed. These terrible events in our city's history cannot be forgotten or forgiven.”

“Boys and girls whose lives were cut short due to Russian strikes and shelling, due to hostilities that Ukraine never wanted for a second but has been defending against for years. On June 4th, we honor the memory of all such children,” wrote Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “Today, we still do not know the exact number of the dead because we do not have access to temporarily occupied territories. We will have to establish how many adults and children killed by Russia are buried in mass graves near Mariupol and other cities and villages destroyed by Russians.”

He emphasized that the world must not forget or forgive Russia for this terrible pain and aggression — an absolutely unprovoked and criminal war against Ukraine.

“In memory of every murdered child, in memory of every ruined human life, there must be real solidarity in the world — all of Europe, all of America, and all other parts of the world — so that Russia is held accountable for its actions and is forced to return peace to Ukraine and Ukrainians,” stressed Volodymyr Zelensky.
