Direct quote: "We discussed the need for further efforts towards peace, including specific steps that can be taken. President Trump inquired about the situation on the battlefield, and I provided him with a brief update. I also mentioned that Ukraine is ready for a 30-day ceasefire starting today.

We expect Russia to agree to this proposal. I also confirmed that Ukraine is open to negotiations in any format. However, for this to happen, Russia must demonstrate the seriousness of its intentions to end the war, starting with a complete and unconditional ceasefire."

Details: According to Zelensky, Trump confirmed during the conversation that he desires an end to the war, is willing to assist, and supports the need for a ceasefire.

The leaders also congratulated their nations on Victory Day over Nazism and welcomed the ratification of the economic partnership agreement.
