The Ukrainian esports team B8 (34) has defeated Astralis in a crucial match to earn a place in the most prestigious tournament of the season in Counter-Strike 2 – the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

The match concluded with a score of 2:1. The "B8s" managed to outplay their opponent on Mirage and Ancient, despite losing on Inferno.

This will be B8's first appearance in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. Furthermore, they have become the second team in history to qualify for a major with five Ukrainian players in their lineup.

On their way to the Major, B8 lost to Metizport and SAW, but later eliminated the Russian team PARIVISION, Belize's BC.Game, and another Russian club 9Pandas, as well as defeating ENCE with a Ukrainian player on their roster.

Let’s remember that the qualification matches in Europe will take place from April 14 to 17. The Austin Major 2025 will be held in the USA from June 2 to 22. The prize pool will amount to $1,250,000. Another Ukrainian team, NAVI, has already qualified for the Major.
