The Israel-American startup Wiz is launching its operations in Ukraine. According to Forbes Ukraine, the official representative of Wiz in Ukraine is Softico, a company specializing in information security and IT distribution.
Wiz is recognized as one of the most dynamic players in the Cloud Native Application Protection Platform sector. The company's solutions enable businesses to manage the security of cloud environments without the need for large DevSecOps teams.
Unlike traditional systems, Wiz operates without agents and complex integrations, providing visibility into risks and relationships between users and assets. The platform supports AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes, complies with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR standards, and easily integrates into CI/CD processes.
According to Andy Ritchie, Head of WW Partners at Wiz, the company aims to assist businesses in safely implementing cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. He noted, "The cloud and AI open up incredible potential for innovation. Wiz allows organizations to leverage these technologies without additional risks."
Softico, which has become Wiz's representative in Ukraine, will be responsible for localization, consulting, and customer support for those transitioning to cloud security models. Alexander Butusov, Head of the Information Security Department at Softico, stated that there is significant interest in CNAPP solutions in Ukraine, which combine scalability with ease of implementation.
Additional information: Wiz is among the fastest-growing startups globally due to the rising demand for its services amid the ongoing transition of businesses to the cloud. According to the company, nearly half of the world's 100 largest companies, including BMW, Salesforce, Morgan Stanley, Shell, eBay, and AstraZeneca, utilize its services. Wiz's revenue is projected to reach $500 million in 2024, and co-founder Roy Reznik has stated that the company aims to double this figure by 2025.
Following the onset of the full-scale war, Ukrainian businesses have actively transitioned to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. According to the IT Ukraine Association, the cloud security market in Ukraine has tripled during this period and could grow by another 226% to $3.78 million by 2029. The most active adopters of cloud solutions are companies in fintech, retail, and the public sector.
It is worth noting that in March 2025, Google announced its largest acquisition, signing a deal to buy Wiz for $32 billion. After this, Wiz will become part of Google Cloud. Recently, this deal successfully passed the scrutiny of the antitrust division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Google has stated that the agreement process continues in other countries, and the transaction is expected to be completed in 2026 upon meeting standard closing conditions.
