Meta has announced the global rollout of a new voice dubbing feature that allows users to create Reels videos with synchronized voice translations. Utilizing generative AI technology, this feature enables users to easily translate their recordings while retaining natural intonations.

To use this feature, users must select the option "Translate your voice with Meta AI" before publishing their video. The system then automatically generates a translated audio track that reflects the original voice and provides the option for lip-syncing.

Before publishing, the author can preview the result and decide whether to add synchronization. Videos featuring translations will display a message indicating the use of AI technology.

Currently, this feature is available for content creators on Facebook with over 1000 followers and for all users with public Instagram accounts. Meta suggests using this tool in videos that involve direct camera engagement, without excessive background music or mouth covering. The system supports up to two speakers but advises against overlapping voices.

Meta positions this new tool as an opportunity to expand content reach beyond the creator's native language. Additionally, a translation effectiveness tool has been introduced.

At launch, the translation feature is available only for English and Spanish, but Meta plans to expand language support in the future.
