Google Drive has introduced a new feature that enables users to view videos through thumbnails, similar to YouTube's functionality. This feature will be available for all new videos uploaded via the web interface or mobile app. However, thumbnails will only be visible in the web version of Google Drive.
According to the company, this addition aims to enhance user interaction with video content and expedite the search for specific segments. It is important to note that this feature does not apply to older videos uploaded before the launch of this update.
Google states that the update will gradually be available to all users, including Google Workspace subscribers, individual accounts, and personal account holders.
Early access to the feature opened on July 22, with a wider rollout scheduled for August 20 of this year.
