The Ukrainian firm TENETA has introduced a new tool for combating enemy drones — the single-use net gun MITLA 1. Its primary function is to neutralize FPV drones and reconnaissance quadcopters by entangling their propellers with a specialized net.
Weighing in at just 365 grams and featuring compact dimensions of 200 mm in length and 40 mm in diameter, the MITLA easily fits into military gear. To operate it, one simply pulls the safety pin, aims, and presses a button to fire, causing a net measuring 3.5×3.5 meters to automatically deploy within 0.2 seconds of launch, effectively obstructing the drone's movement.
MITLA demonstrates reliable operation in various temperature conditions, whether in heat or cold. Its maximum effective shooting range is up to 25 meters. The device has a significant recoil due to the use of a 7.62 mm caliber blank cartridge, so it is advised to hold it with both hands.
MITLA is positioned as a cost-effective solution for rapid response to aerial threats, particularly relevant in positional warfare scenarios.
