Mikhail Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology, has announced the introduction of an AI assistant in the Diia platform. Beta testing will commence in June. This assistant will aid users in obtaining necessary services and documentation, as well as locating the nearest administrative service center (ASC), with future capabilities for voice interaction.

«We have redefined our approach to Diia. In 2019-2020, we created a user-friendly application, but now, with the advent of AI, consumer culture has evolved. Anything that doesn’t resemble ChatGPT or other models raises questions. To provide the best user experience, we need to transform Diia into an AI product,» said Mikhail Fedorov.

During DOU Day, the Deputy Prime Minister revealed that the AI assistant will enter beta testing on the Diia portal this June. Users will not only be able to access services through AI but also find answers to questions, such as whether a specific document is needed for traveling abroad and how to locate the nearest ASC.

Additionally, it is planned that the AI agent will be able to send documents and eventually manage the entire flow of service acquisition. For instance, if a user states, «A rocket hit my house,» the AI agent will understand that they need the eRecovery service, suggest sending a few photos, and then submit an application to the commission.

In the future, users will be able to make voice requests and interact with Diia as they currently do with other AI models.
