Acer, renowned for its computer hardware, is entering the wearable market with the launch of the FreeSense Ring and AI TransBuds, as reported by Android Authority. Both devices leverage artificial intelligence to enhance their functionalities.
The Acer FreeSense Ring is a lightweight titanium ring equipped with biometric sensors to monitor heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality. By analyzing data through a mobile app, users receive personalized health and fitness recommendations. Notably, all features are available without a subscription fee.
The Acer AI TransBuds are wireless earbuds that provide real-time two-way voice translation. They support 15 languages commonly spoken across Europe, Asia, North, and South America, along with subtitle and transcription features for preserving conversations. A Bluetooth connection to a smartphone via a dedicated receiver is required for full functionality.
Both devices are set to be showcased at Computex 2025, with market availability expected later this year. Acer has yet to disclose pricing and availability details.
