Roma and Ukraine forward Artem Dovbyk has been awarded the title of Player of the Month for March in Italy's Serie A.

This was announced by the press service of the elite division of the Italian championship.

Dovbyk triumphed in the fan voting. Among his competitors were Nicolo Barella (Inter), Lucas Da Cunha (Como), Nicolo Fagioli (Fiorentina), Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna), and Umar Sadiq (Udinese).

Dovbyk is the second Ukrainian to win the Player of the Month award in Serie A. Ruslan Malinovskyi won it twice — in May 2021 and February 2022 while playing for Atalanta.

In March, Dovbyk played 4 matches in Serie A, scoring 3 goals. This marks his first Player of the Month award in the Italian league at the age of 27.

Overall, the former Girona striker has netted 16 goals and provided 4 assists in 40 matches for Roma across all competitions this season. Claudio Ranieri's team currently sits in 7th place in the Serie A standings.
