British boxer Derek Chisora will celebrate his 50th professional fight in April against former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
This was reported by BBC Sport.
The 42-year-old Chisora had previously indicated he would retire after his 50th fight, which was expected to take place abroad. However, according to BBC Sport, he has chosen to have his milestone match in London on April 4.
This matchup could have occurred 13 years ago, but Wilder withdrew due to legal issues. Now, both fighters will finally meet in the highly anticipated bout.
American boxer Wilder, after suffering two consecutive knockout losses to Joseph Parker and Zhang Zhilei, returned to the ring in June 2025, securing a technical knockout victory over Tyrell Herndon.
Chisora, on the other hand, is entering this encounter on a three-fight winning streak, including victories over Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin.
Wilder may view this fight as a warm-up for his upcoming match against Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk. On December 9, 2025, Joshua knocked out American Jake Paul, achieving his 29th win in the professional ring (with 26 of those by knockout).
