The Ukrainian men's national basketball team celebrated a victory in an away game against Georgia (92:79) in the qualifiers for the 2027 World Championship.
According to the FBU press service, following the first round, our guard Oleksandr Kovliar ranked second in scoring (31 points), while forward Viacheslav Bobrov excelled as the top rebounder with 15 rebounds.
Both Kovliar and Bobrov made it into the top 5 for efficiency ratings after the first round. Kovliar, with an efficiency rating of 30, placed fourth, while Bobrov, with a rating of 27, came in fifth.
The best player for efficiency in the first round was Croatian Mario Hezonja with a rating of 36.
The second round of qualification starts tomorrow. The Ukrainian team will face Denmark on November 30 in Riga, with the match starting at 19:00.
