The Ukrainian jiu-jitsu team made a remarkable achievement by winning 9 medals at the world championship recently held in Bangkok. This news was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Our athletes secured 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
The champions include: Bohdan Mochulskyi (fighting, up to 62 kg), Daria Honcharenko (full HIF, up to 52 kg), Daria Honcharenko (full contact, up to 52 kg), Oleksandra Yakovenko (ne-waza no gi, up to 52 kg).
The runners-up included: Daria Honcharenko (fighting, up to 52 kg), Oleksandra Yakovenko (ne-waza gi, up to 52 kg), Diana Skrypniuk (full contact, +70 kg), Artem Dvorzhanskyi (ne-waza no gi, up to 77 kg).
Bronze went to Vladyslav Chepel (ne-waza no gi, up to 85 kg).
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian national jiu-jitsu team took first place overall at the World Cup in August.
